DESTRUCTION
A
- This war more than any others utilised destruction as a tactic.
- Through the use of Hitler’s blitz and the US atomic bombs, whole cities were destroyed.
- Roads,railways and harbours were destroyed.

ECONOMIC RELIEF
A
- War can leave a country in debt but it can also increase a countries wealth.
- After WW2 the Us took control over Japan. However this benefited both countries economy.

REFUGEES
A
- There was a lot of people moving away from their countries after the war.
- 11.5 million Germans left many European countries.
- Jewish people who were freed from the concentration camps found that their properties had been taken by others and many had to live in camps until they could move to Israel.
- Many other European natives started to move away from the growing power of the Soviets.

WAR CRIME TRIALS
A
- These were held in many countries after the war.
- The most significant were held at Nuremburg where the most influential Nazi leaders had their trials.
