cardiogenic shock
a life-threatening condition in which your heart suddenly can’t pump enough blood to meet your body’s needs.
obstructive shock
something is obstructing or getting in the way of blood going into and out of your heart or great vessels
Disruptive shock
also known as vasodilatory shock, is one of the four broad classifications of disorders that cause inadequate tissue perfusion. Systemic vasodilation leads to decreased blood flow to the brain, heart, and kidneys causing damage to vital organs
septic shock
a life-threatening condition that happens when your blood pressure drops to a dangerously low level after an infection.
Neurogenic shock
a condition in which you have trouble keeping your heart rate, blood pressure and temperature stable because of damage to your nervous system after a spinal cord injury.
Anaphylactic shock
an extreme, often life-threatening allergic reaction to an antigen to which the body has become hypersensitive.
Psychogenic shock
causes fainting, probably by initiating dilation of the blood vessels that perfuse the muscles.
Hypovolemic shock
an emergency condition in which severe blood or other fluid loss makes the heart unable to pump enough blood to the body.
