Tinder’s responses to enter from Center

A
  1. “Center closed approved” - pull closed into Tinder’s pattern
  2. “Center turn crosswind” - turn crosswind into Tinder’s pattern
  3. “Center maintain runway heading” - maintain runway heading climbing to 2,800’ MSL until approved to enter Tinder’s pattern.
  4. “Center breakout” - fly runway heading to 4,000 then perform a VFR breakou
  5. No response - RWY HDG attempt contact for 5 miles, climb to 4,000’; if no contact, contact Sheppard Arrival for radar service.

When Tinder announces RWY 17 departures, what are the procedures?

A

Call Tally at the end of closed request and pull closed if approved maintaining 500’ separation with traffic. If not in sight, or if not requesting closed, climb to 2,800’ (once past 2,300’ departure end ristriction) and turn crosswind after reaching 2,800’.

Go-Around and Offset

A

Climb as required, no higher than 2,300’. If aircraft on runway or directed, offset to the west between the runway and D. If possible, retract gear before offsetting. Add “offset” to radio calls.

Falls-2 Procedure

A

Add “Falls-2” to Pt B/C and 3m initial call.
If Tinder approves, depart Tinder’s pattern on departure leg.
FL direct flight to Arrival and initiates rejoin.
Wingman must maintain sight of lead.
If Tinder denies, may carry straight through and gain call “Falls-2” on initial
