Mummy (act one)
Sheila still comes across as childish because of the way she addresses her mother
You talk as if we were responsible (act one)
She’s the first one to realise that they may have done something wrong

Sheila is affected by Eva’s suicide and cannot stay in the room

At first she can’t believe she has done something wrong

Sheila is the one to realise the inspector knows everything and is now waiting for everyone else to admit what they have done
She feels responsible-inspector (act two)
Sheila is immediately able to admit to IG that what she has done is wrong, much to her mother’s dismay

Sheila openly says that she is in the wrong
It’s simply my fault that in the end she - she committed suicide (act two)
Sheila has the complete opposite reaction to her parents and goes as far as to put the full blame on herself
You mustn’t try to build up a kind of wall between us and that girl (act two)

Tries to make her family understand that they have all had a part to play in driving this girl to suicide
I’m not a child don’t forget (act two)
Sick of being treated as a child and has now had enough
I’m ashamed of it ( act three)
She’s disappointed with herself because of what she has done
The point is, you don’t seem to have learnt anything (act three)
Sheila has taken something from what has happened and is annoyed that her parents have not
