What is shakti?
The personification of the divine female creative power which gives life to all living beings in the universe.
What is Adi shakti?
First power, it is the primitive feminine power which resides in every human and is the embodiment of creativity.
How does Adi shakti exist within the person?
In the form of kundalini shakti which resides at the base of the spine. It can be awakened through deep meditation wherein it moves from the spine to the sahasrara chakra at the top of the head.
What does it feel like to release kundalini shakti?
It feels like electric energy running along the spine.
How can kundalini shakti be awakened?
Mediation, asanas, chanting mantras. There is even a special shakti mantra which is seen as the key to unlock shakti in ourselves.
How are women viewed in shakti?
They are all manifestations of Adi shakti because it is women who have the power to create life. Women are the source of sustenance for all beings on earth.
Explain the creation of the universe in the shakti view
Ad shakti takes her saguna form as Prakriti and shiva takes the form of purusha, they unite, start the process of the creation and maintain the balance of the universe.
What do the worshipers of shakti believe?
Adi shakti is the supreme Brahman as all other forms of energy in the universe have come from her, they worship this female energy among with its masculine form of shiva.
Who is the creator of the universe under shakti?
A woman, she created the universe and the universe is in her form. A woman is the true form of the body.
