1) What does the ON BAT light indicate?
At least one ADRIU is powered by the battery
2) How long will each ADIRU stay on battery power?
2 & 3 will remain on for five minutes
1 until battery #2 fails
3) What information is provided by the “IR units?
Attitude, flight path vector, track, heading accelerations, angular rates, ground speed and aircraft position.

B - Barometric altitude O - Overspeed warnings A - AoA T - Temperature S - Speed (airspeed and Mach)
5) What does a steady white ALIGN light indicate (older panel with keypad)?
The respective IR is aligning
6) How does the ADIRS panel indicate that an IR is in ALIGN mode?
Green IRS IN ALIGN X MINS is displayed
7) What does a flashing white align light mean?
Fault or no present position after 10 mins or difference between position at shutdown and entered.
(No Bad Move)
8) How is the crew alerted to the FMGS having no current position, an incorrect position or if the aircraft has moved during the alignment?
Flashing white ALIGN
9) What does the IR pushbutton do on the newer ADIRS panel?
Turns the respective IR off
10) What does steady illumination of the amber IR FAULT light indicate?
Associated IR is lost
11) What does flashing illumination of the amber IR FAULT light indicate?
Attitude and heading information may be recovered by turning the rotary knob to ATT mode.
12) What does the amber ADR FAULT light indicate?
Associated ADR has failed
13) Does turning the IR Mode Rotary Switch to OFF also turn off the ADR?
Yes
14) Can you turn the ADR OFF and still have the IR?
Yes, by pushing the ADR pb.
15) What would be missing on the Captain’s PFD and ND if IR1 failed or was turned OFF?
Attitude, flight path vector, track, heading, accelerations, angular rate, ground speed and aircraft position.
