What are hormones?
A regulatory substance produced in an organism and transported in tissue fluids such as blood or sap to stimulate specific cells or tissues into action.
What are the main female and male hormones?
Male= Testosterone. Female= Progesterone and oestrogen.

Explain what happens in stage 1-2.
Ovulation- Egg is released from the ovary into the fallopian tube.
Ejaculation- Sperm is released into the vagina and goes towards the fallopian tube.
Stage 2:
Fertilisation- The sperm meets the egg in the fallopian tube. It penetrates the egg and the sperm nucleus fuses with the egg’s nucleus. The result is called a zygote.
Explain stage 3-4 of conception
Cell division- Zygote divides till it becomes a ball of cells. It si now called an embryo.It begins to move towards the uterus.
Stage 4:
Implantation- The embryo sinks into the uterus lining. Here it develops a placenta and becomes a foetus.
