Erectile Dysfunction
Inability of a man to maintain an erection sufficient for satisfying sexual activity
Failure to obtain an erection
A man can not get hard
Female Sexual Dysfunctions (Frigidity)
Failure of a female to respond to sexual stimulus; failure for a women to achieve an orgasm during sexual intercourse
Inhibited Female Orgasm
Characterized by the persistent or recurrent, delay in, or absence of, orgasm following a normal sexual excitement phase
Faking it
When a man or women fakes an orgasm; could be from fear or loss of control during an orgasm
Vaginismus
Refers to a tightening or locking of muscles that makes it difficult or impossible to engage in sexual intercourse
Dyspareunia
Difficult or painful sexual intercourse
Lack of Lubrication
Not lubricated enough to stimulate
Lack of foreplay
Foreplay that is limited or does not exist (ex: Doctor and Nurse)
Aversive Conditioning
Refers to learning that has occurred in connection with “negative” experiences
Changing Sex Roles
As the parts that males and females play alter, it is likely that there will be uncertainty about how to handle key aspects of sexual behaviour
