What are subtypes of sexual disorders (time and place)

A

 Lifelong Type
– Has been present since the onset of sexual functioning

 Acquired Type
– Applies only after a period of normal functioning.

 Generalized Type
– Not limited to certain types of stimulation (wife and mistress)

 Situational Type
– Limited to certain types of stimulation, situations, etc. (wife but not mistress, Hawaii but not home)

 Hypoactive sexual desire disorders
(in men common from lack of testosterone)

 Sexual aversion disorder
(common in rape victims)

 Male arousal disorder
Erectile disorder: retarded vs. retrograde (into bladder, common in alpha blockers)

 Female arousal disorder (30%)

 Orgasmic disorders
Younger>older women

 Sexual pain disorders
Dyspareunia
Vaginismus (phobic reaction)
Vestibulodynia

Deviation:
 Exhibitionsim (excitement from reaction)
 Fetishism (nonliving object)
 Frotteurism (rubbing against you with clothes on)
