- Does anyone control you or tell you want to do?
- Are you safe right now?
- Has a person pressured you to do something you weren’t comfortable with?
- Have you exchanged sex for food / place to stay / other basic needs?
- What happens if you say no to sex?

A
Older partner, accompanied by controlling partner, cigarette burns on body, frequent STI checks, repeat runaways.

Mandatory reporting rules in WI
A
- Must report for pediatrics, but not 18+
- Px can decide if they want to involve the police or not.
- Can hold onto DNA samples for a while in case px wants to involve the police later too.
- Don’t need to report physical abuse to police unless there is a stab wound, GSW, or “significant injury”, which is blurry.

Parts of SANE exam
A
- History / interview including gynecological history, sexual history, and what happened during assault.
- Record any activities that may have compromised / destroyed evidence, such as bathing, douching, brushing teeth, changing clothes, peeing, pooping, tampons, condoms
- Physical exam including genital exam w/ speculum / anoscope. Document all injuries (shape, size, color). May use black light.
- May collect evidence up to 120 hrs
- Asses risk of pregnancy, STI’s, HIV
- Prophylactic meds
- Refer to RCC / other support services
- Follow up
