Patrilineal vs matrimonial descent
Patrilineal Descent. According to this rule, descent is traced through the father’s or male line. Here the descent criterion is restricted to males, and only descendants of a common ancestor in the male line will be recognized as kin.
Matrilineal Descent: Here the descent of the individual is traced through the mother or female exclusively. The descendants are called here matrilineal kin.
Unilineal- one line either female or male

Abstract. Gender role ideology is defined as an individual’s
attitudes to how the roles of women and men are and should be shaped by sex.
What does androcentric mean?
Dominated by or emphasizing masculine interests or a masculine point of view.
What are gender roles?
The role of behavior considered to be appropriate to a particular gender as determined by prevailing cultural norms.
