What are the contraindications for nitroglycerin?
Hypersensitivity, hypotension, bradycardia, extreme tachycardia, cerebral hemorrhage, inferior or right sided MI, use of ED drugs within 24hrs.
What are the side effects/ notes of nitroglycerin?
Hypotension, transient headache.
Must have a systolic BP of at least 100 and IV established prior to administration.
What is another name for Furosemide?
Lasix
What is the class of Furosemide?
Loop diuretic
What are the actions of Furosemide?
Inhibits sodium/ water retention in the loop of henle.
What is furosemide used for?
PE
CHF
What is the dose of furosemide?
20-80mg SLOW (IV, IO)
Double what they take at home.
What are the contraindications of furosemide?
Hypovolemia
Dehydration
Pregnant pts
Severe electrolyte depletion
What are the side effects/ notes of furosemide?
Dehydration, electrolyte imbalance.
Push too fast can cause tinnitus.

Opiate analgesic
What is morphine used for?
ACS
PE
Pain control
What is the dose of morphine?
1-3mg (IV, IO)
PRN, titrate to effect
MAX 10mg
