A

This includes the available options, risks and benefits.

What is the concordance approach?

A

Define the problem - specify the problem with the clinicians and patient’s views.
Convey informations about how there may not be one best treatment.
Describe the benefits and risks of taking the treatment.
Provide information about the treatment options.
Check patient understanding.
Elicit patient concerns, and expectations about their outcomes.
Ascertain patient’s preferred role in decision making.
Don’t rush them.
Review decisions after specified time period.
