Ans: Anything which is covered by any warrant or, which the searcher has reasonable grounds to believe is either evidence of any offence or, has been obtained in consequence of the commission of an offence (such as the proceeds of robbery)

Ans: He/She should be given an accurate record of what has been seized.
Q6. How long can a seized material from a search be held?
Ans: As long as is necessary. For instance for forensic examination or for use as evidence at a trial or for return to the true owner.
