A

primary adrenal failure resulting in lack of mineralocorticoid and glucocorticoids.

A

post-operative, post-traumatic loss of exogenous source. e.g. the patient who is on chronic steroids and has that stopped for some reason.

Addison disease - clinical presentation?

A

persistent hypotension that is fluid non-responsive. Lab values - hyponatremia and hyperkalemia. loss of sodium and decreased free water clearance
