When can you NOT take instruction from someone who is not the client?

If you have reason to suspect that the other person’s instructions do not represent your client’s wishes.

You must not act until you are satisfied that they are your client’s wishes. If you cannot reach your client and have the authority to act for them- act in their best interest.
