Q

Have you ever had a conflict with another officer

A

Yes..I was field training an experienced new hire posted to a one man location.Despite training I noticed incomplete investigations and poor file management. After speaking with the officer on the phone he became upset as he did not think he needed to be supervised.
I asked the officer to meet in Edmonton to review his check sheet and to go over the files. We met and discussed each file in detail and what possible avenues of investigation could be taken
Files were promptly completed to my satisfaction. The officer was embarrassed by his lack of expertise.
