- leave liquid in container for a few days
= water will evaporate and form crystals - to speed up we can heat the liquid

How to make copper chloride crystals
A
- add excess copper carbonate to dilute hcl
- remove excess carbonate by filtering solution
- heat filtrate to evaporate some water
- leave to cool to form crystals
