Sensory integration interventions
A
- Provide opportunities for the child to have sensory experiences that are tactile, vestibular, proprioceptive in nature
- The environment should entice the child to play
- The environment should have challenges that are “just right challenges”
- The therapist observes the child’s abilities during play and can discern when to increase or decrease their sensory-motor experiences in order to encourage new learning
