What is the difference between the FAR and the NAR?
The False Alarm Rate is any alarm where the source is not known.
The Nuisance Alarm Rate is any alarm caused by non-adversary and is known.
Can PD be 1?
The Probability of detection cannot be one, that implies a perfect sensor.
What are the two ways to defeat a sensor?
Bypass it or spoof it.
What is a continuous line of detection?
A combination of detection zone overlaps such that the entire perimeter is covered. A second line of detection can be added for redundancy.
What are complementary Sensors?
They are alternates to dual technology sensors and are consist of two sensors of different types that cover the same area and have different mechanisms that would defeat them.
What are the 3 application classes for interior sensors?
1) Boundary penetration Sensors
2) Interior motion Sensors
3) Proximity Sensors
