Sensitivity, Specificity, And Likelihood Ratios, Oh My! Flashcards
1
Q
Why do we specifically measure these things?
A
To Dx and Px
2
Q
What is the spectrum of likelihood ratios?
A
POSITIVE: Greater than 10 = large!, 5-10 = moderate, 2-5 = small, 1-2 not worth it.
NEGATIVE: 0.1 LARGE, 0.1-0.2 moderate, 0.2-0.5 small, 0.5 and above, NOT worth it.
3
Q
Which would you want to see on a Sensitive Test with regard to Likelihood Ratio?
A
Negative - “If I get a negative, I know it’s a negative.” - “The likelihood of a fire in this house is LOW.”
4
Q
Sensitivity allows us to identify persons _________ the condition. Specificity allows us to identify persons __________ the condition.
A
With, Without
