Why is the fee on PV greater than your hourly rate?
The fee comprises of actual salary, in addition to provisions for training, equipment, technology etc.
What performance indicators are we appraised on?
Cost & Time mainly, for example actual spend as a percentage of the schemes budget.
What is a compensation event?
An event, not usually the fault of the contractor, that changes the cost of the time needed to complete the work.

Describe your role under CDM and the role of TSP
TSP act as the principle designer. Dave acts as a representative of the principle designers and I act as a designer who prepares documents for Dave to sign off as the principle designers representative.
How does TSP act as a trading account?
TSP does not get given a budget for staff. Instead, TSP charges the council a flat rate for each grade based upon the hourly rate of the position and a number of overheads. The overheads include things such as training, provision of equipment etc.
Where does the funding for schemes come from?
Funding streams are either capital or revenue. Capital schemes are provided a budget by central government (i.e. LCC) which is controlled by the client team.
