What are some physical causes of erectile dysfunction?
Excessive alcohol consumption, spinal cord injury, diabetes, atherosclerosis, smoking, side-effects of drugs, prostate surgery

What is phimosis?
Phimosis is where the foreskin cannot be fully retracted over the glans penis
What can phimosis increase the risk of?
STDs, balanitis (inflamed glans), posthitis (inflamed foreskin), urinary retention, paraphimosis and penile cancer
Can phimosis be physiological?
Phimosis can be normal in children when foreskin is still attached to glans
What is paraphimosis?
The painful constriction of the glans penis from the retracted foreskin
What are the commonest causes of paraphimosis?
Phimosis, catheterisation and penile cancer
What is usually best treatment for phimosis?
Circumcision
What are some risk factors for penile cancer?
Phimosis, HPV 16 and 18
What are some potential causes of acute scrotal pain?
Testicular torsion, trauma, epididymitis, orchitis
What is a common presentation of testicular torsion?
Man under 30 presents with sudden onset unilateral scrotal pain, with no LUTS. Testis is very tender and lying high in scrotum horizontally
