relational view
morality grows out of our relationship wiht animals and one another
its group associated views with an emphasis on importance of relationships bw animals and humans and bw and humans

a dog is a man’s best friend, so it should be treated better than animals on farms and in labs

animal rights view
good results cannot justify evil means
somethings are not permitted todo to animals whatever the circumstances
animals have the right to be treated with respect and we must no do avoidable harm to animals
experiments on animals are unacceptable, regardless of the potential benefits involved
Explain the respect for nature view
respect for nature view
respect nature as its a duty to protect not just individual animals but species which they belong to
perseveration of species is important and we should not genetically modify species as this is disrespectful interference
we should leave animals the way evolution made them
