what is a self report technique?

any method in which a person is asked to state or explain their personal experiences,opinions, behaviours and/or feelings related to a given topic

a set of written questions used to assess a persons thoughts and or experiences

what are interviews?
A
a ‘live’ encounter where an interviewer asks a set of questions to assess an interviewees thoughts and or experiences

A
no fixed answers, free to answer in any way they wish, qualitative

A
offers a fixed number of responses, e.g. rating scales, multiple choice, quantitative
