What does phenytoin do to theophylline?
increases clearance and levels of both drugs.
Name the seizure described: blank staring 3-50 seconds accompanied by impaired LOC. common 3-15 yo.
Absence, petite mal
Awake state or momentary LOC with abnormal motor behavior.
Myoclonic
Rigid extension of arms and legs following by jerk movements with LOC
Tonic-clonic
Awake state with abnormal motor, sensory or autnomic or psychic behavior. localized or generalized . onset any age. new onset could be tumor, etoh, head injury.
Simple partial or focal seizure
Aura with unusual sense of s,ell or taste, visual or auditory hallucinations, sotmach upset. vague stare or facial movement, muscle contraction. NO LOC - partial but can progress to LOC
