What is a Pre Shared Key? Why is a pre shared key not a good approach for a business environment? Provide everyday examples of a PSK?

- Pre shared key is an encryption key provides control access to a user that wants to connect their device to a network by entering this key.
- This can still provide access to a network after an employee has left and changing the preshared key will require reconfiguration of all devices.
- Passwords at hotels to connect to their WIFI and new people connecting to your home network.

What is a way of achieving authentication?

- Users entering their credentials such as a username and password which is then confirmed by an authentication server that provides access to authorized users.

What is an open network and captive portal?
A
- Open network is an unsecure network that anybody can connect to.
- Captive portal is a web page that requries them to authenticate before gaining acess to an open network.
