Define “you” and “your”
Refers to the insured
Define “we” and “us”
The company providing this insurance.
Define business
Means any continuous or regular pursuit undertaken for financial gain including trade, profession or occupation.
Define coverage summary
The coverage summary page and/ or the declarations.
Define condominium corpration
Under legal provincial legislation for the right to sell to occupy
Define data
Representation of information or concepts, in any form.
Define data problem
*erasure, destruction, corruption, misappropriation, misinterpretation of data.
*error in creating, amending, entering, deleting or using Data; or
*inability to receive, transmit or use data.
Define detached Private structures
Structures or buildings separated from the dwelling or unit in a clear space, including fence, utility lines or similar connections only.
Define domestic water container
A personal device or apparatus on the premises for containing, heating, chilling or dispensing water. (Ei. Washer machine or hot water tank)
Define fungi
Not limited to mold, yeast, mushrooms, or mildew whether or not allergenic, pathogenic, or toxigenic.
Define ground water
Water beneath the soil to the surface of the ground but not limited to water in wells and in ground streams, and percolating waters.
Define insured
Is the person(s) named as insured including spouse, blood relatives of any age and and person non-relative under 21 in their care.
Define spouse
Married or civil union with another person living with insured, or at least together for 3 years.
Who can take legal action?
Only the person(s) named on the coverage summary.
Define premises
Homeowner: the dwelling and land on which the dwelling is situated
Tenant or condominium unit owner dwelling or unit
Includes garages, outbuildings, and private approaches reserves for your use or occupancy only.
Define residence employee
A person employed to you to perform duties in connection with main or use of the premises.
Example baby sitter/cleaner
Device spores
Particles or microscopic fragments produced by fungi
Define surface waters
Water on the surface of the ground where water does not usually accumulate
Ex. Watercourse, lakes or ponds
Define unit
Condominium unit, strata lot exclusive co-ownership declaration to a private dwelling.

No intent to return

Water distribution system for consumable water but not waste water.
