An amalgamation of the Heads of Proposals and Newcastle Propositions - rejected by Charles in December 1647.
What was ‘The Engagement’?
Agreement between Charles and Scots to invade England, restore Charles to power, and in return have 3 years of Presbyterianism in England.
What was the Vote of No Addresses?
Parliamentary resolution of January 1648 that there would be no further negotiation with Charles.
