-Free seat selection from the time of booking for everyone in booking in same travel class and same flight.

Silver/One World Sapphire?
Free seat selection (excluding exit row seats on long haul flights) from time of booking. Exit row seats can be selected for free 24 hours before departure.

Bronze/one world Ruby?
Free seat selection (excluding exit row seats) from 7 days before departure. Exit row seats can be selected from for free 24 hours before departure.

Blue?
Free seat selection from 24 hours before departure (excluding exit row seats and not including travel on basic fares).
Seats can be purchased from time of booking.

What if the customer is travelling with flexible and semi-flexible tickets?

A

Flexible fares (plus flex) allow you to reserve seats for free from the time of the booking.

Semi-Flexible fares (plus) allow you to reserve seats for free from 48 hours before departures.

Pay to reserve your seat from the moment you book until check in opens.
OR
British Airways will allocate you a seat for free when check in opens, you can pay to change the to a different seat but choice may be limited.

Seat Policy For Travelling Families?

A

British Airways will make sure every child under the age of 12 sits next to an adult from your booking but children over 12 years are booked as an adult in the system and may sit separately.
Seats are free when you travel with an infant under 2 years old.

Seating Policy For Someone With A Disability?

A

There is no charge for reserving your seat if you have a specific requirement because of a disability. The person with the disability will need to let British Airways know about their travel needs at least 48 hours before the flight departs.

Groups for more than 9 people?

A

When you’re travelling as a group, British Airways will allocate your seats free of charge. They will try and seat the group together however cannot guarantee especially if the group group is split between different bookings.
You can pay to reserve seats in advance.

Changes and refunds?

A

If you have paid to reserve a seat and British Airways are unable to offer you that seat or a suitable alternative when you board your flight you can claim a refund.

When can you not claim a refund for seats?

A

If you cancel your flight
You are upgraded
If you are not suitable to sit in the seat type you have selected.
If you change your flight You will be offered to sit in a similar seat, if you choose a lower price seat British Airways will not refund the difference.
If it is more than 30 days since the completion of the last flight.
