Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984
Whilst in custody a person under arrest is taken to a premise they occupy or control and this is searched before DP taken to the police station.
This is used to obtain evidence before it is CLADD

in Which the suspect was when arrested
Or immediately before he/she was arrested
For evidence relating to the offence for which the person was arrested.
