Power to enter a place without warrant to search for and arrest a person if you have
RGTS that person is unlawfully at large and
RGTB the perso is in the place or vehicle.
What does unlawfully at large mean
- Has an arrest warrant in force or
- Has escaped from prison or is absent without leave
- Has escaped from lawful custody
What is section 8
Enter a place or vehicle to search for and arrest a person without warrant if you have
- RGTS that person has committed an offence punishable by imprisonment and for which they may be arrested and
RGTB that the person is there AND
RGTB that if you do not enter immediately either or noth of the following may occur
- the person will leave to avoid arrest
- evidential material for the offence which the person is arrested will be CADD

What is section 83
Search power
If you have arrested (K9) a person for an offence and have RGTB that evidential material relating to the offence is at a place and will be CADD if entry is delayed to obtain a warrant
- you may enter the place the place without warrant to search for evidential material relating to the offence
The arresting officer has to be the one to carry out the search.
What is section 84
After arrested if you have RGTB the evidential material relating to the offence is in the vehicle, you may enter the vehicle without a warrant to search for the evidential material relating to the offence.
What is section 29
Power to search a vehicle without warrant for stolen property
If you have RGTB that any stolen property is in or on any vehicle you may:
- search the vehicle without warrant.

- to investigate whether an offence has been committed.

Determine that the search is for a purpose and advise the person of the reason for the search and advise the perso thatvtgey may either consent to be searched or refuse to be searched
They may withdraw their consent at anytime.
