- Carry less bacteria
- Chlorhexidine resistance has been reported (idk if that’s important)
Describe closed gloving (7)
- Don Sx gown
- Keep hands inside of gown.
- Begin with non-dominant hand first.
- Hand in sleeve, use left hand to place right glove palm side down on right hand.

- Repeat on left hand.
- Adjust gloves as needed
Assisted gloving (4)
**Personnel assisting must already be gloved.
1. Assistant stretches glove cuff open
2. Palms toward glovee, locate thumbs first
3. While glovee slips in, assistant pulls glove cuff over gown sleeve
4. Repeat
Aseptic glove removal - assisted (2)
- Non-sterile assistant grabs glove & gown cuff underneath the glove together.
- Pull glove off so it turns inside out.
