A

They have expertise in a area to help with changing laws for the better to help public demand and the government more likely listen to them than outsider groups who are violent and irrational

How petitions make pressure groups more successful?

A

As they are often seen as an outdated way of getting things done and some parties forget it don’t use them. However they are very effective as they show public support and if politics ignored them they are less likely to be re-elected - showing petitions power.
