What is the ABCD2 score?
Assessing risk of stroke following a TIA
What is the rosier score?
Tool for assessing the likelihood of a stroke.
Loss of consciousness or syncope - 1 point
Seizure activity - 1 point
New, acute onset of:
• asymmetric facial weakness + 1 point
• asymmetric arm weakness + 1 point
• asymmetric leg weakness + 1 point
• speech disturbance + 1 point
• visual field defect + 1 point
Stroke likely if >1
what is the edinburgh scale?
Post-natal depression rating scale.
10-item questionnaire, with a maximum score of 30
indicates how the mother has felt over the previous week
score > 13 indicates a ‘depressive illness of varying severity’
sensitivity and specificity > 90%
includes a question about self-harm
what is the PHQ-9 score?
9 point question survey to assess severity of a patients depression.
What is the SADPERSONs Score?
Used to calculate suicide risk.
what causes Prolactinoma?

what first line anti-anginas?
atenolol
what should verapamil be avoided in?
heart failure
what is contraindicated with atenolol?
verapamil (CCBs)
What drugs commonly cause lung fibrosis?
Amiodarone and methotrexate
What is used for rate control in AF?
Beta blockers (preferred to amiodarone)
where do loop diuretics act and what are their side effects?
ascending loop of henle on Na-K-Cl cotransporter.
Hypotension, hyponatraemia, hypokalaemia, hypocholaraemic alkalosis
