- Creates a basis for planning and executing the project

What is a scope statement?
A statement that defines at a high level , the work to be completed by the project – will also state items that are out of scope of the project.
What steps can be taken to validate a scope?
*Deliverables should be inspected to ensure requirements
met
*Deviations to scope may include
*Rework
*New requirements
*Be especially careful to avoid continual scope changes
*Where subsequent changes arise from the need to satisfy previous changes
*Scope creep is very common in projects due to:
*The realization that requirements need to be refined more
