Most clinically trained on scene takes responsibility of PTs care.

- Handover PT to most senior clinician on scene.
- 1st qualified person on scene will start treatment and see it through, advise and direct until PT is handed over to doctor, nurse etc

- Work within LAS trust policies.
- Act in best interests of PT.
- Recognise and work within limits of professional competence in safe and skilled manner.
- Handover management of PT to most senior clinician.
- Obtain informed consent when appropriate except in emergency.
- Keep clear, up to date PT records including clinics findings, decisions made, and treatment.
- Observe principles of integrity, honesty, PT confidentiality.
- Don’t partake in any unethical act.
- Limit work or stop practising if performance or judgement is affected by health.
- Don’t undermine public confidence in service.

- Preserve life & alleviate suffering.
- Care for PTs as individuals, with courtesy, respect and dignity.
- Avoid actions that are detrimental to the interests of PT or to those involved in PTs care.
