detailed account of the
used methods so that other
scientists that wish to reproduce
the research have all the necessary
information.
E.g. participants, interventions, what data
will be gathered and how, statistical
analysis, etc.
Diagrams may be used.

What goes in the results?

Answer 4

the results will be shown
as concise and conveniently
possible, usually in figures or tables. The most important trends
you can conclude from the tables are put into words.

What goes in the discussion?

Answer 5

interpretation and
explanation of the results. Usually
the most important conclusions
will be added here too. But some
articles have a separate heading
“conclusion”.
