What is Mutawir?

A

that which is narrated by such a large number of people that it cannot possibly be a lie/ made up (large number of narrators; the same amount of people have to be present in each chain of narration)

A
  1. Meaning: the meaning is consistent but wording varies between narrations 2. Wording: wording is narrated by multiple people exactly the way it was stated by Muhammad
