Science test Flashcards
How do we know what extinct organism looked like.
By looking at their fossils.
What does muscular tissue do?
It controls movement for the organism.
What does nervous system do.
Transmits and process information.
What does connective tissue do?
Holds body structures in place.
What does epithelial tissue do?
Lines and protects organs.
What are the 5 levels of organization?
Cell, Tissue, Organ, Organ system, Organism.
What is an adaptation?
Traits for survival.
What is an organism?
Multiple organ systems heping the organsim survive
What is the Digestive system?
This system makes sure that food is broken down small enough to enter each cell for CR.
What are the main tissues?
Connective, Muscular, Epithelial, An Nervous.
What is the respiratory system?
Responsible for bringing oxygen into the body and getting carbon dioxide out the body.
What is Capillary?
Tiniest type of blood vessel, where gasses exchange with the cell.
What is vascular tissue?
Tissue that transports martials throughout a plant.
What body system included lungs?
Respiratory systems
What is the circulatory system?
Delivering items that the cells need also picking up what they need to send away.
What is the Shoot systems made up of?
Flower, Stem, Leaves.
What kind of plant organ is for reproduction?
The FLOWER UWU
What is the smallest level of organization?
The CELL 0.0
What is A homologous structure?
Is a similar structure with different function.
What can be inferred if two organisms have homologous.
They share common ancestors.
An adaptation a frog has living in the water.
Third eyelid, Webbed feet, Eyes on top of head, Camo for water.
An adaptation for frogs living on land.
Lungs, long tongue and strong long legs.
Arteries
tube like structure responsible for transporting fluids from organ to organinclkuding heart
what is the difference between veins, arteries, and capillaries.
Arteries carry blood away from your heart. Veins carry blood back toward your heart. Capillaries, the smallest blood vessels, connect arteries and veins.
