Estrogen
The female sex hormone
Fallopian Tube
Two tubes that are in the upper corners of the uterus. They connect the uterus to the ovaries
Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)
These hormones stimulate the ovary to produce estrogen
Menarche
This is the beginning of menstruation
Menopause
A period during which their menstrual cycles slow down and eventually stop
Menstrual cycle
This occurs each month in a sexually mature female unless she is pregnant. a complex cycle controlled by female hormones that cause regular bleeding (periods)
Menstruation
This is the process in which the endometrium of the uterus is shed from the body
Oogenesis
The process of producing eggs in the ovary
Ovulation
This occurs when the follicle is mature and its burst open, releasing the secondary oocyte from the ovary
Vulva
It’s the area between your legs that allows you to menstruate, give birth, pee and allow sexual reproduction
