Rehabilitation Act (disabled children not denied educational services)
Education for all handicapped children Act (EAHCA) (free and appropriate education ages 3-21 now called IDEA - 7 main provisions)
Education of the Handicapped Act Amendments of 1986 (expansion to families with infants/toddlers and preschoolers with disabilities)
ADA - Civil rights (prohibits discrimination)
IDEA - early intervention or school based services as needed
NCLB: all children receive a quality education (standardized testing)
