Single-dose 40mg/kg praziquantel
How is schistosomiasis treated if S. Japonicum suspected/diagnosed?
Single-dose 60mg/kg praziquantel
What is one of the commonest cause of death secondary to schistosomiasis?
Variceal bleeding (and therefore there is a role for endoscopy)
How effective is treatment for schistosomiasis?
50-80% effective
