Stream scheduling
Used when an appointment for a patient will take a longer period of time
Single patient is booked for a specific amount of time
Single booking
Two patients are given the same appointment time
Double booking scheduling
Scheduling patients for specific type of visits or procedures at specific times (monday mornings can be reserved for new patients)
Cluster schedule
Blocking off time slots in a paper schedule with an X or having specified time periods automatically blocked out in the computer’s schedule screen
