Why has Paris come to visit Capulet? What is Capulet’s response?
Paris came to visit Capulet to ask for Juliet’s hand in marriage. Capulet says she is a bit young but he isn’t opposed to the idea of them getting married, so he says if he can woo her, Paris would have his permission.
How does Romeo find out about the Capulet party?
Romeo and Bevillio are walking down the street when they run into a capulet servant, he cannot read and asks them for help (since he doesn’t know they are Montagues). The servant’s paper is an invitation to the Capulets masquerade. Romeo read the note to the servant and he thanked him by inviting them to the party, as long as they aren’t Montagues.
Why does Benvolio suggest Romeo go to the party? Why does Romeo finally decide to go?
Benvolio thinks it would be a good place for Romeo to find a new girl. Romeo agrees to go since he finds out Rosaline is invited.
