MOTHER RABBIT
Peter!/ Scene change

A

Peter ran away from home, and he kept running and running until he reached the town of Gloucester.

SIMPKIN
Oh, alright. I’ll do it. I will take the twist back from him.

Q

TAILOR (cont.)
Here you are! Thank you so much for helping me out with this mess, little rabbit. You are surely a kind and generous fellow. Have a merry christmas! We must go and get ready now, Simpkin.

A

Peter saw the happiness in Simpkin when he did something good for the Tailor. He saw the joy of the Mayor as his lovely coats were revealed to him and he gave the Tailor his proper payment. He saw the love and camaraderie of the three mice as they worked together. On Christmas Day, Peter was all alone. He left the Tailor’s shop to venture elsewhere.
