Charity scams
A scammer poses as a genuine charity (e.g: Red Cross) and asks for money
Psychic or Clairvoyant scams
The victim is told that they would be in some sort of trouble in future. To avoid this they have to pay money for something (e.g: a lucky charm)
Romance scams
The scammer uses emotional triggers to get a person to provide money
Phishing emails
Phishing emails that pretend to be sent on behalf of your bank asking for account information
Phone calls
Phone calls from a scammer informing you there is a problem with your account, asking you to provide your account details or password
COVID-19 scams
As more people used online services, scammers asked for personal information online. And they also asked for money in return for early access or general access to the vaccine
Impersonation scams
Scammers pretend to have a connection to their target. Links sent are made to steal personal and financial information
