What is Ramadan?
The most important month of the Islamic calendar as it is when Angel Jibril started to reveal the Qur’an to Muhammad.

Food, drink, smoking and sex are forbidden.
What do Muslims do during Ramadan?
They get up every day before sunrise to eat and drink enough to keep them going until sunset.
What happens at sunset during Ramadan?
The fast is broken. The evening meal is often shared with friends and family followed by extra prayers and reading from the Qur’an.
Who is allowed to not take part in fasting?
Children, people who are ill or pregnant and breastfeeding however they are supposed to make up for it later if they can.
Why is Ramadan important?
Self obedience required shows obedience and dedication to God. Inspires Muslims to help those in poverty.
What are the words that Jibril said to Muhammed on the Night of Power?
‘Read! In the name of your Lord who created: He created man from a clinging form (a blood clot). Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One who taught by (means of) the pen, who taught man what he did not know’ Qur’an 96:1-5

In the second-half of Ramadan on an odd-numbered date.

Stay up and study, pray the Qur’an.
