A

Accumulation of lymphocytes and macrophages

Non-caseating granulomas in lungs etc.

A
Cough 
Dyspnoea
Chronic fatigue
Arthralgia
Wheeze
Lymphadenopathy

A
Clinically
Bloods - hypercalcaemia, raised ESR
CXR
Spirometry - restrictive disease

What might be seen on CXR in sarcoidosis?

A

stage 0 = normal
stage 1 = bilateral hilar lymphadenopathy (BHL)
stage 2 = BHL + interstitial infiltrates
stage 3 = diffuse interstitial infiltrates only
stage 4 = diffuse fibrosis
