SAMRA 15 Flashcards
Définition dewpoint
A dewpoint can indicate water amount better than relative humidity.
Évaluer la quantité de vapeur d’eau contenue dans l’atmosphère. Point de rosée est la température, à une pression donnée, à laquelle doit être refroidis pour qu’il y ait saturation.
Above tropopause temperature will?
Temperature de l’air reste la même avec l’altitude.
Processus adiabatic
Expansion et compression
Coastal area, mouth of deep valley, strong wind
Funnel effect
Radar altitude associated with ?
GPWS
You enter in a thunderstorm what to do?
If can not escape, keep altitude and adjust proper throttle don’t turn back.
Slow to turbulence penetration speed. Do not attempt to maintain a rigid altitude or airspeed and maintain present heading.
Don’t choose “maintain altitude, reduce to Va”
Qu’est ce qui pourrait être un PIREP?
Strong tailwind in descent.
Flight plan, time to alternate:
Nm / time
224nm / 1h05min
Flight plan: time to destination fuel left?
6686
What is a LLJ?
Below 6000’
Above 50kt
Flying along the earth’s surface from areas of higher pressure into and converging at an area of lower pressure
Low pressure= Convergence
Airmet definition
Not on GFA
Sigmet appear?
A pilot dangerous weather
Where large super cold water droplets can develop?
Lower levels of cloud that as formed in unstable air where temperatures are only a few degrees below.
“increase height with not far away below freezing level.”
What does it means CCA in a METAR?
Correction
CCA= Première correction
CCB= Deuxième correction
At a stationary front, cold air move ?
Parallel to the front
SIGMET NC meaning?
No change
Critical point time
1h26min
MET PRACTICAL:
TAF lowest VIS
1 1/2SM
Microburst downdrafts performance
Decrease AOA and lift
Describe VOLMET?
Surface wind back and decrease because ?
Ground friction and cooling
Warm air over cold surface?
Smooth flight at low level
Saturated air cooled, condensation, dewpoint will?
Dewpoint decrease
Heading west to a trowels temperature will?
Temp will increase than decrease
